037 DIY Floral Jumpsuit

"Just living is not enough...one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower". Well I've got flowers on top of flowers for this look. :-)

I love jumpsuits but they're usually not long enough or the sleeves are too short. I always end up having to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. In this weather? Ain't nobody got time for that! ;-) So I made this really pretty 037 floral jumpsuit. I paired the jumpsuit with a lilac Kimchi Blue triple gusset cross body pouch that brings out the lilac flowers in this print. It's a thrifted bag that I got for $5! Winning! A light weight green maxi hijab and a pair of tan wedges. 

My lipstick is one of all time faves, Wet n Wilds Purty Persimon. It's one of my fave bright and bold lipsticks. Click here for a video of my top 20 fave bold lippies.

I added a zipper in the back. I also have a belt on that I meant to sew into the sides but completely forgot to do while I was making it. So I sewed the two pieces together and it made a super cute belt.

Chill day for me today. Back to two of my faves, red and leopard. I can't stay away from them for too long. I'm wearing a mostly thrifted and 037 look. A little pattern mixing for you too.

Nadira037  |  thrifted red blazer

This blazer was a thrifted find, and I love it! It had crazy big shoulder pads(possibly the biggest ones ever know to man) so I took them out and now it's perfect.

My jeans are thrifted Banana Republic. They're vintage jeans with a tapered leg so I made them into boyfriend jeans and distressed them. My shoes are from CitiTrends! I've never shopped there before but it's right next to my local JoAnn's so I figured why not check them out? Who knew the home of the ratchet finds had really cute shoes? I grabbed these for $7! Thank you CitiTrends I will be getting more shoes from there.

My chevron infinity hijab and bracelets are both from my local beauty supply store. Only $5 for the hijab and $3 for the bracelets!

I used this ponte fabric I purchased from Joann's. It's not the best quality ponte but it was on sale so I made it work. The Roma Ponte I used for my High Low Peplum Tutorial here was a much better quality. I used a total 6 1/2 yards to make my dress but the amount of fabric will vary based on your measurements. If you use this or any fabric that stretches 1 way only, make sure you place and cut your pattern pieces accordingly.

The hijab was an infinity scarf that I cut to make into a shayla hijab. I always keep my eyes peeled for possible hijabs no matter where I'm at. I found this beauty at Big Lots of all places for $5! Almost my entire look is made of 037 custom pieces which shows you can be fly on a budget and make your own clothes too.
